Tornados....
As my clinical instructor told us this evening, we can NEVER say that first level is NOT exciting. We have post conference at 4 pm on Thursdays. We had all been worried about the weather all day and most of us were just wanting to go home and be with our families. We had just got in our classroom and was getting started when someone came in the door and said that a tornado had been spotted on the ground close to where we were. Ms. Winiarski immediately got up and told us to leave our stuff there and let's go...all 19 of her students took off out the door and headed through the walkway to the other building. We all went downstairs where we were stuck with many other students in a hallway. I was pretty scared not to mention feeling quite claustrophobic and had a couple of guys in my class trying to calm me down. I actually heard the tornado go over and later found out that it took a huge steeple off a church that was less than a mile from where I was. Needless to say I am thanking God above that we are all safe tonight. It's still raining here, but I think the worst is over. I'm about ready to look for Noah's blueprints! :)

Drumming to the beat of a different rhythm...
So long time no see! This is a brand new blog and I will do my best to keep up with this one a little bit better. Unfortunately there isn't much going on in my life except school, so hopefully that is enough to keep y'all entertained!
First level clinicals are going great! Maybe I am completely crazy, but I actually like the difference between hands on work and just sitting in the classroom for all my classes. My clinical instructor is really awesome so that totally makes a difference. She is very helpful and is doing her best to help us learn new info. I have taken tests in all my classes and so far I have one A, two B's, and one C that is almost a B. I will be working extremely hard to bring it up. I had my second practicum today which is a hands on skills test. It was over listening to the heart and lungs, and also changing a sterile dressing change. I will let y'all know when I get the grade!
Well, I've gotta go...I have a quiz that I have to go study for. Hope y'all have a great evening!
